Partnering with name brands – Well Done Cross-promotion… #branding

ImageImageImage

Take a look at this potato chip display.  I wasn’t familiar with Herr’s so I looked up their history http://www.herrs.com/AboutHerrs/History.html

Seems that this company has had a good run, but has more of a regional business.  I somewhat figured this when I saw the display, but noticed the packaging right away.  This partnership with major companies here is impressive as is the tie-ins to summer as well as the impact of the package design.

I imagine that it was difficult for them to put together such a partnership in the first place – so kudos to Herr’s for that alone.  What I see here with the design and integration into summer products was a complete marketing win in my book!

_______

Marketing win: partnering with name brands done with excellence.

Marketing Your Rock Band – NOT!

Marketing Your Band - NOT!

This is probably not the best product to convince a booking agent that your band is worth booking. I think it’s clear from the CD packaging alone that your band is half-assed – just like your presentation.

Not sure how one would contact this band either?

Remember, you’re brand isn’t what you think it is… It’s not the music.  It’s what the person seeing it thinks it is and in this case, it’s crap.

Walmart Retail Signage Fail – Really? Do not try on condoms in stores…

How funny! Ok, so today in our feature called ‘Stupid Signs’ we have this…

Really? Do not try on condoms in stores...

Apparently Walmart has bit of a problem in the condom isle with people trying on condoms before they buy them.

This sign is ridiculous though and shouldn’t be posted.  If it’s your job to post this sign, just do everyone a favor and ask the person who gave you the sign if people are trying on condoms in the aisles.

I have a pet peave about too many pointless signs everywhere and this is one doozy of a retail signage fail.
